Over the years, I have enjoyed reading about your cats, especially Wookie.
With many tears, I have read and re-read about Wookie's passing.
I am so sorry. These loving best friends have such a special place in our hearts. You were so blessed to be able to spend much time with her, to have her company, and she was so fortunate to have her special person there with her.

Back in Sept 2001, my mother passed away. While standing at her hospital bed, I saw my daddy who had died Dec 1999, standing on the other side of the bed with his hands crossed, obviously waiting for her. Sitting next to daddy were my chow dog, Bear, and my cat, Hebron, who had died a few years earlier. They were all very clear, and I told Mom that if Daddy was waiting for her, it was okay for her to go. Almost immediately, we saw a change and in a few minutes she was gone.
It wasn't until a few days later that I wondered why it had been my dog and cat and not hers.
A month later, my precious little poodle, Bumper, died. And then I knew - my daddy was waiting for my mom. And Bear and Hebron were waiting for Bumper - they had been buddies for many years.
My daddy went to heaven. My pets were right there with him. Nobody will ever convince me that I won't see them again.
I really believe you will see Wookie again.

So sorry to hear about Wookie. I know the soft spot in your heart for each of your furry friends. I'm glad to see you have started to find healing. Music is my "healing" medium, so I understand how just exercising your craft is a great way to take the next step.

This tugged my heart so much that tears just spilled forth. It's always hard to loose a furry best friend. Rest in peace, Wookie.
